Key Responsibilities
Management Information & Reporting
* Act as the focal point for personnel MI across the retail operation, turning large data sets into meaningful insights.
* Deliver accurate and timely weekly and monthly reporting, including store contribution reports.
* Maintain data quality, ensuring policies are followed and any issues are resolved quickly.
* Respond to stakeholder requests promptly and professionally.
Business Partnering
* Work closely with senior finance business partners and operational leaders to understand and challenge performance.
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and key external stakeholders.
Budgeting & Forecasting
* Support the preparation of personnel budgets and forecasts in partnership with finance and operations.
* Serve as a key contact for the MaxE resource planning model, updating measures with input from internal and external parties.
Month-End & Performance Tracking
* Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
* Report and track budget performance, producing timely variance analysis and highlighting key cost drivers.
* Contribute to wider finance projects and initiatives as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who can combine strong technical skills with commercial acumen, including:
* Part-qualified accountant (or working towards qualification) and/or experience in payroll finance.
* Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
* Advanced Excel skills and confident communication abilities.
* Experience with Power BI or other data visualisation tools.
* Familiarity with resource planning models.
* Ability to build and sustain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
* Confidence in working with high volumes of data and presenting clear, actionable insights.
