About the role
As the Lead Property Health & Safety Manager, you will be accountable for the Property Safety Team to support the Property Development function to provide safe & compliant facilities for our customers, colleagues & suppliers.

Responsibilities:
* Lead the Property Safety team, providing mentorship, support, and training
* Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in line with CDM and Building Safety Act requirements
* Ensure all property safety measures align with CDM regulations and serve as the proficient person responsible for compliance with the Building Safety Act
* Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards
* Develop risk mitigation strategies
* Follow our Business Code of Conduct with integrity and due diligence
* Innovate and improve Property safety compliance, ensuring Tesco standards and safety management
* Maintain the Property Safety Management System aligned with ISO 45001 and industry standards
* Provide training on CDM and Building Safety Act requirements
* Support safety governance processes and incident investigations
* Maintain records of safety inspections, audits, and incidents
Minimum requirements:
* Safety diploma or degree qualification
* Extensive knowledge of CDM regulations and the Building Safety Act
* Experience in property safety management and team leadership
* Experience in policy development and enforcement collaboration
* Operational safety experience in Property or related fields
* Experience in development/construction within retail or similar environments
* Management of safety change projects involving colleagues or suppliers
