We are seeking a Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist Nurse to join our dynamic multi‑disciplinary cardiac rehabilitation team. We are looking for a dynamic, caring and compassionate nurse with excellent communication skills, an ability to work independently, evidence of professional development and a keen interest in health promotion.
This post requires you to have the motivation and passion to participate in the development and delivery of the hospital, community setting, virtual and home‑based exercise programmes. There will be a requirement to travel within Cambridgeshire to our out‑reach setting in Cambourne. You must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Responsibilities
* Provide education and support to patients post cardiac event in both in‑patient and out‑patient settings.
* Use clinical knowledge/expertise to provide a high standard of skilled care to patients.
* Manage own patient workload, prioritising needs and escalating as required.
* Effectively plan, implement and evaluate rehabilitation care based on individual assessment.
* Line manage the administration staff within the team.
* Be part of a multi‑disciplinary team delivering cardiac rehabilitation in the hospital, community, virtual and home‑based exercise programmes, including individual or group education and exercise.
* Attend regular one‑to‑ones, clinical supervision, appraisals and competency support.
Qualifications
* Professional adult nursing qualification and clinical knowledge acquired through training to diploma or degree level.
* Post‑graduate training in a specialist area OR specialist knowledge across the range of work procedures and practices, underpinned by theoretical knowledge or relevant practical experience.
* Leadership/management training and/or experience.
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Experience
* Significant experience in field of own practice.
* Experience managing/supervising a multi‑disciplinary team and ability to mentor/educate junior staff.
* Understanding of clinical governance frameworks including Patient Safety Incident Response Framework, policy and procedure, audit and quality assurance.
* Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, particularly those related to vulnerable patients.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to solve problems and to plan, organise and prioritise own and others’ workload.
* Evidence of continuous professional development and willingness to participate in further training and education.
* Competent IT skills.
