We are recruiting for Housing Officer to join a busy housing association where you will be responsible for managing a patch of around 60 properties across Oldham.
The role is based out of a community room/office facility, which you'll work from daily. You'll handle a mix of phone-based and face‑to‑face tenant contact, dealing with queries, referrals, and day‑to‑day housing management tasks.
This is a temporary position covering long‑term sickness, for a minimum of 10 weeks.
Enhanced DBS, Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle and housing experience required.
Your new role
Managing repairs, sign‑ups, and terminations
Supporting vulnerable tenants and making appropriate referrals
Handling low‑level conflict and tenancy issues
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance
Being a visible presence in the community
What you'll need to succeed
Background/experience in housing and good understanding of processes is required.
Experience working with vulnerable individuals
Strong communication and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
What you'll get in return
