As the Lead Data Governance Manager at the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS), you will play a crucial role in defining, implementing, and managing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure the effective management and use of data assets within the organisation.This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to promote data literacy, manage data risks, and optimise the value of data across the organisation. The Lead Data Governance Manager reports to the Head of Data and Analytics and the role is aligned to the Government Digital and Data Profession Capability Framework.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
1. Development of Data Governance Processes
o Framework Development: Lead the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards, ensuring alignment with organisational needs, industry best practices and legal governance and privacy considerations.
o Data Quality and Trustworthiness: Identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve the quality and trustworthiness of data throughout MaPS.
