Are you someone who loves sales, building relationships, spotting opportunities, and turning everyday conversations into long-term partnerships?
I’ve just met with the Sales Manager for a forward-thinking, growing business on the outskirts of Newark, and she’s looking to welcome an Account Executive into her close-knit sales team, working alongside two Account Managers and a Sales Administrator.
This is a genuinely relationship-led sales role — varied, engaging, and fast-moving — where no two days are the same and your sales performance is recognised and rewarded. This isn’t pushy or transactional sales; it’s about understanding clients, adding value, and building trust.
This role would suit someone who is naturally inquisitive — the kind of sales professional who asks the right questions, listens carefully, and truly understands a customer before offering the right solution.
If you enjoy uncovering sales opportunities through conversation rather than pressure, and you’re at your best when developing long-term partnerships, you’ll thrive here.
You’ll be working with an established database of over 2,500 key accounts — and only a proportion currently have maintenance and repair contracts in place. That means real, tangible sales opportunity for someone who enjoys:
1. Upselling and cross-selling
2. Solution-based, consultative sales
3. Retaining, nurturing, and growing existing accounts
If you’ve worked in sales selling cars, homes, sheds, services, insurance, or any consultative product or service, you’ll feel right at home.
4. No cold calling
5. No heavy lead generation
6. No endless research
The sales opportunities are already there.
What you’ll be doing
7. Managing renewals, proposals, and contracts across your own sales account portfolio
8. Acting as a trusted point of contact and building long-term client relationships
9. Securing recurring maintenance contracts through effective sales conversations
10. Identifying and closing upsell and cross-sell sales opportunities
11. Preparing quotes, providing technical advice, and handing over to the Operations team
12. Keeping customers warm, engaged, and well looked after
You’ll manage your own diary, work autonomously, and be fully supported with sales training, development, and ongoing encouragement.
Reward & benefits
13. 0.5% commission on everything you generate and close through sales
14. 20 days holiday, increasing with service, plus full Christmas shutdown
15. Holiday buy/sell scheme
16. AXA Healthcare helpline for you and your family
17. Discounts on popular brands
18. Personalised development plan and genuine sales career progression
If you’re looking for a sales role where you can earn well, grow, feel supported, and actually enjoy your working day, this could be a fantastic move.
