Role Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our team as Principal Clinical Scientists in Bioinformatics, focusing on Operational and Research & Development roles. We seek team players who will provide expert scientific and managerial leadership in the clinical application of genomic testing, and undertake research activities to improve diagnostic tests, identify new technologies, and optimize resource use for accurate and timely genomic testing.

The Exeter Genomics Laboratory at the Royal Devon University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust leads NHS genomic medicine, providing advanced diagnostic testing for families with rare diseases across the UK. We have launched the national NHS rapid whole genome sequencing service for acutely unwell babies and children. Our team collaborates with internationally recognized experts in genetics, offering specialized tests worldwide. We partner with the Bristol Genetics Laboratory as the South West Genomic Laboratory Hub, focusing on endocrine services and exome/genome analysis for rare diseases.
The laboratory is located in Exeter, a city with rich history and surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside and coastlines. Exeter is well-connected by road, rail, and air, with easy access to Dartmoor and Exmoor.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week
