Duties will include:
* Supporting an individual with their social and physical activities and supporting relationships with family, friends and other people living in the home
* Supporting their healthcare needs by booking and supporting appointments such as GP, Hospital, or other specialist services and social support needs.
* Enabling them to communicate with others, and sometimes advocating for them.
* Offering support when they display distressed and complex behaviors.
* Helping with personal care such as using the toilet, showering or bathing, and dressing.
* Supporting occupation, meaningful engagement, and activities such as art therapy.
* Helping them to monitor their health, for example weighing themselves, taking their body temperature, or keeping track of diet, menstruation and bowel movements.
* Reminding them of the importance of taking their medication.
* To act as a key worker for designated individuals.
* To attend and participate in team meetings, supervisions, appraisals and training as requested and required by your Manager.

Once employed as a Care Assistant you will be given support to obtain the Care Certificate, which will help you in your role.
Please note- this is a 1:1 post but you will be working alongside other members of the team as well.
The hours are a mixture of Early & Late shifts: 08:00-14:00hrs & 12:30-18:30hrs.
Pay: £12.43 per hour basic.

The role
As a Care Assistant, you get to support and deliver care to our residents, by assisting them with their daily needs. Building strong relationships is the key in this role, supporting their health and well-being.
Training and development
You will get all the support and training needed to, if you wish, become a Senior Care Assistant and to work under guidance from our Registered Nurses, carrying out more complex care activities, as well as taking more responsibility for residents around the home.
