Senior Clinical Support Worker
The Medical Day Case Unit has an opportunity for an experienced band 3 Clinical Support Worker who is caring, enthusiastic and driven to join an experienced and friendly team. We are looking for dynamic, efficient individual who can work under pressure to support the team in providing effective treatment for patients whilst developing a wide variety of skills. The successful applicants will be highly motivated and demonstrate the ability to provide the highest standard of safe, effective care to their patients. It will be essential for them to be able to work as part of a team, adapting to changing situations, thinking quickly and acting with compassion and empathy.
Main duties of the job
Your role will be to support and assist registered nurses in the delivery of quality patient care and the general wellbeing and comfort of patients. The successful candidate must be competent in numerous clinical skills such as venepuncture, complex management of lines/ drains, ANTT practices and pre / post operative recovery monitoring,
You will have a mature, caring, compassionate and sensitive manner with a genuine desire and passion to help people. You must have the ability to demonstrate patience and empathy with good practical skills inspiring confidence and trust to all patients.

Person Specification
Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
* NVQ Level 3 in a related subject or Lead Adult Care Apprenticeship
* Care Certificate
* Completed clinical competencies for clinical tasks and procedures as appropriate
* Experience working in a clinical environment
* Experience working in the NHS
