Accounts Semi Senior

* Job Type: Full-time
* Salary: £25,000-£30,000 (depending on experience)
Reed are pleased to be working with an established accounting firm who are seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their team. They are looking for someone who would be interested in working with medical accounts.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Prepare and oversee the preparation of financial statements and tax returns across a diverse client range.
* Work mainly unassisted, maintaining a client-focused approach at all times.
* Build and enhance client relationships through professional communication and understanding of their needs.
* Support the team by providing regular feedback, allocating work, and assisting with on-the-job training.
* Manage deadlines, budgets, and targets effectively, communicating any issues to seniors or managers promptly.
* Review work from trainees and juniors, ensuring completeness and accuracy before final submission.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience in the accountancy profession, ideally up to and including a Semi Senior role.
* Experience in the medical sector is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in MS Office, Iris, Practice Engine, Virtual Cabinet, Xero, Sage, My Workpapers, and QuickBooks.
* Knowledge of current corporate and personal tax rates, Anti-Money Laundering Regulation, GDPR, Criminal Finance Act, and Bribery Act.
* Strong client service and communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
