Hays Accountancy & Finance is partnering with an expanding construction company to strengthen their finance team with an experienced Finance Assistant / Bookkeeper, ideally with knowledge of COINS, a construction-based finance system.
Your new role
This is a newly created Finance Assistant / Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant role. You will be responsible for processing the purchase ledger, resolving queries from Quantity Surveyors (QSs) and suppliers, raising sales invoices, and posting cash. You will also assist with month-end and year-end processes, including closing ledgers and bank reconciliations. Additionally, you may support the wider commercial and operational teams with queries.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will have finance experience in the construction sector using COINS or be confident using other finance systems such as Sage or QuickBooks. Strong analytical and processing skills are essential, along with the ability to assist with month and year-end procedures. AAT qualification is a plus but not essential.
What you'll get in return
