At Asda Opticians, we believe customer health and wellbeing is paramount. The Optometrist will perform eye examinations, contact lens fittings and extended service exams. You will work alongside our Dispensing Optician Manager to support colleagues and help maintain departmental standards.
Due to our extended service contracts with the NHS, we are committed to providing care for eye conditions and will support you in obtaining any needed accreditations.
We provide comprehensive training, CPD programmes and protected time for further accreditation, funded by Asda. We also offer opportunities to supervise students for GOC‑registered professionals.
Rota: Tuesday 09:00‑17:30, Friday 09:00‑17:30, Saturday 09:00‑17:30.
We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our dynamic team. You will help maintain service excellence and foster positive relationships.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC.
* Registered performer with NHS area team or health board.
* MECs or WECs accredited, or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months (funded by us).
* On track to meet statutory CPD points.
* Passionate about delivering memorable customer experiences.
* Passionate about developing new patient services and shaping department culture.
In application, you must be registered with the General Optical Council and have evidence of right to work in the UK. If applying in Wales, evidence of WECS accreditation and WGOS module is required.
