Nelson Recruitment are recruiting for permanent Production Welders on behalf of their manufacturing client based in West Bromwich. Due to continued growth, our client Unistrut is seeking experienced Production Welders to join their expanding team.
Pay & Shifts
* Pay rate: £12.90 per hour
* Shift allowance: 22%
* Total hourly rate: £15.73 per hour
* Shift pattern:
* Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm
* Week 2: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
(Rotating weekly)
What You’ll Do
* Weld Unistrut products using MIG welding processes
* Set up welding and associated supporting equipment
* Read and work from 2D engineering drawings
* Produce parts to the required production rates and report any issues affecting output
* Take responsibility for the quality of parts produced
* Maintain accurate production and quality records
* Ensure good 5S standards are maintained in your work area
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed
* Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience as a Production Welder
* MIG welding experience (essential)
* Ability to read and understand 2D drawings
* Strong attention to detail and quality
* Reliable, committed, and able to work rotating shifts
