Birmingham (accessible via public transport and a short walk for non-drivers)£110-£115 per dayStart Date: ASAPContract: Full-time, long-term temp-to-perm (Full Academic Year)
Long Term Futures is seeking a professional, empathetic Teaching Assistant that is looking to take the next step in their career by working within a SEND School.

About the RoleWorking closely with class teachers, SENCo, and other professionals, your responsibilities will include but won't be limited to:
* Providing support to children in or out of the classroom
* Supporting the teacher in delivering amazing, well-structured lessons
* Setting expectations specific to each child
* Delivering positive reinforcement where necessary
* Monitoring and feeding back progress and/or behaviour to teachers and parents
* Taking students out of the classroom to regulate and then reintegrate
* Helping pupils develop resilience, self-regulation and positive social interaction
Ideal candidate profile
* Passionate and experienced with supporting pupils with SEND
* Calm, confident and able to remain regulated during behavioural incidents
* Able to build trust while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries
* Reliable and committed to a long-term placement - a consistent face is of upmost importance
* Resilience is a key component and necessary when working within a SEND environment
