We are recruiting an experienced Airfreight Imports Team Leader to lead and support a small, fast-paced operations team. This is a hands-on role requiring strong operational knowledge, leadership capability, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will oversee daily airfreight import operations, ensure full compliance with HMRC/BF and ETSF regulations, and foster a high-performance, collaborative team environment. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Development * Lead, motivate, and support a small airfreight operations team to deliver work to high standards * Coach, mentor, and train team members, including regulatory and internal procedure updates * Allocate and oversee daily workloads and ensure operational cover during holidays and sickness * Conduct daily and weekly team meetings and escalate issues to management when required * Promote a proactive, solutions-driven, and collaborative team culture Operational Management 1. Manage airfreight import shipments end-to-end 2. Ensure compliance with ETSF procedures and HMRC/BF regulations 3. Monitor arrivals, trigger points, discrepancies, amendments, and claims
