Main duties of the job
* Provide clinical and professional leadership for the North West CAMHS Team alongside other colleagues, including clinical supervision to the medical team and providing clinical leadership to the wider MDT.
* Maintain a workload of approximately 50–60 open cases at any one time and see approximately one new case per week.
* Attend local governance meetings to contribute towards business planning.
* Lead on improvement of the quality of care within the team and contribute to improving quality across the system.
* Be responsible for carrying out administration in line with the Trust's policies in relation to patient care, supervision of resident doctors and continuing professional development (CPD).
This job attracts a Recruitment and Retention payment of £45,000, structured over a three-year period as follows:
* £15,000 payable upon successful recruitment.
The payment is pro rata for part-time employees.

Qualifications
* MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
* Additional clinical qualifications.
Eligibility
* Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
* Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
* Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
* In good standing with the GMC with respect to warnings and conditions on practice.
Clinical skills, knowledge and experience
* Excellent knowledge in specialty.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
* Excellent clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
* Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to the post within NHS or comparable service.
