Fashion Designer Needed – Concept to Collection (10-Look Fashion Collection)
Job Type: One-time project
Experience Level: Intermediate to Expert
Deliverables: Fashion sketches, final illustrations, technical flats, presentation PDF
Project Overview
I'm looking for a fashion design freelancer to help execute a Concept-to-Collection project that simulates the role of a Creative Director developing a 10-look fashion collection for a brand.
This is an academic project with professional / industry-level expectations, so the output must be polished, cohesive, and presentation-ready.
Scope of Work
1. Preliminary Sketches
Minimum 16 exploratory fashion sketches
Loose concept sketches (not final illustrations)
Used to explore silhouettes, garment types, and proportions
Based on concept direction and brand references I provide
2. Final Fashion Illustrations
10 full-color final fashion illustrations
Front view only
Rendered on a consistent croquis or photo-collaged model
Must clearly show:
Silhouette & proportion
Fabric texture & color
Styling & design details
Each look page should include:
Look number (1–10)
Fabric swatches + fabric names (Mood Fabrics / B&J Fabrics / District Leather style references)
3. Technical Flats
Technical flats for 3 selected garments
Front and back views for each garment
Clean, accurate construction drawings showing:
Seams, closures, paneling
Darts, pleats, gathers
Any special construction details
4. Accessories Page
One page showing all accessories used across the collection
Accessories must align with the concept and brand aesthetic
5. Final PDF Presentation
The final submission must be one clean, screen-ready PDF including:
Cover page (project title + name)
One look per page (10 pages)
One page with all 10 front views together
One page with technical flats
One page with accessories
Requirements
Strong experience in fashion illustration & garment design
Ability to create technical flats (industry-standard)
Understanding of concept-driven collections
Clean, consistent illustration style
Experience with Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop / Procreate
Attention to layout and presentation quality
Nice to Have
Fashion school or industry background
Experience creating collections (not just single looks)
Understanding of RTW / Eveningwear / Conceptual fashion
What I Will Provide
