Customer Assistant - Southampton, Bournemouth & Salisbury
Must be able to work a minimum of 3 shifts a week (24 hours or more).
Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Adecco UK is currently seeking committed and safety-conscious staff to work at various stations as Customer Assistants.
Our Customer Assistants will provide first-class service to customers while ensuring their safety at all times.
They will proactively assist customers through clear communication to pass through the station and effectively manage Automatic Gates.
You will often be the first and last person our customers meet on their journey. Your role as a gate line assistant is vital in upholding safety and service for all SWR customers. You may also be required to undertake roles such as bus replacement, crowd control, and ticket checking. You will be based at your nearest station, but there may be occasions when you are required to travel to other stations. A duty pass will be provided to enable free travel during shifts.
This role requires working shifts as early as 7 am or as late as 11 pm, depending on the schedule.
Responsibilities
1. Effectively operate the gates to ensure the safety of all passing through.
2. Deliver excellent customer service by responding to inquiries promptly and efficiently.
3. Report any incidents and undertake measures to ensure station safety.
4. Conduct ticket checks and report irregularities to Revenue Protection.
5. Wear uniform and ID badge during shifts and while traveling to and from shifts.
Experience
We are seeking individuals with a strong background in customer service. Effective communication skills are essential, as this is a customer-facing role that may involve handling challenging situations. Excellent listening skills are required, along with good written communication skills for producing reports. Training will be provided for all aspects of the role.
