Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both residential and commercial painting, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all projects meet our high standards of excellence. This role requires knowledge of various painting techniques, tools, and materials, as well as the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
* Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or airless paint sprayers to achieve a smooth finish.
* Mix paints and match colors according to specifications and color theory principles.
* Perform plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry as needed during projects.
* Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications.
* Collaborate with construction teams on renovation and remodeling projects to ensure timely completion.
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; utilize power tools safely.
* Conduct restoration work on existing structures as required.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations on construction sites while performing tasks.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in residential and commercial painting; construction site experience is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of construction estimating, basic math skills, and blueprint reading.
* Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in painting and construction work.
* Experience in plastering, stucco application, concrete finishing, masonry, and fixture installation is a plus.
* Ability to perform maintenance tasks related to painting projects; maintenance person experience is advantageous.
* Understanding of industrial painting techniques is beneficial.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work.

Rate of pay depends on experience from £160 per day
