Community Transport Development Officer
Hours: 9 hours per week
Location: SCVS / Homeworking / Community
Salary: NJC SCP 23, £33,366 (pro-rata)
Funded until: March 2028
This role provides face-to-face development support to existing community transport schemes that cover Swansea to improve practice and capacity.
The post holder will provide development support to individuals and groups that want to set up new community transport provision in Swansea, and support the coordination of community transport schemes in Swansea via the Community Transport Forum.

Involve has a variety of schemes that engage people in need in Swansea. Involve recruit, train and support volunteers to be in a befriending/ Independent visitor role on a one to one or in a group setting to meet the needs of individual children, young people, families, adults with various needs or older people.

SCVS are governed by a Board of Trustees made up of representatives of local third sector organisations in membership, and co-opted people with specialist skills and experience, ensuring that the support we offer is relevant, needed and valued by the local sector.
