Support Worker - The Role:
As a Support Worker, you will work both independently and as part of a team to support our members in their day-to-day lives. This includes promoting independent living skills, supporting meaningful employment and social opportunities, and providing tailored personal care.
You will work closely with other departments such as Employment and Education and play a key role in helping members reach their full potential.
Support Worker - Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centred care, including support with health, hygiene, mobility, and daily tasks
- Work flexibly as part of a rota system, including early/late shifts, every other weekend, sleep-ins, and bank holidays
- Assist with shopping, cooking, cleaning, and managing appointments
- Facilitate social and leisure activities including music and art therapy
- Promote and support the observance of Jewish culture and traditions (training provided)
- Support the creation and review of care and support plans
- Enable members to develop relationships and expand their social networks
- Promote and uphold our organisational values: Respect, Integrity, Community, and Excellence
Support Worker - You:
- Confident in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism (experience desirable but not essential)
- Compassionate, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality care
- Comfortable with personal care and able to manage challenging behaviours
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths preferred
- UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
- Team player with strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude

*Qualified candidates need to demonstrate they have completed an Ofqual QCF (NVQ) Level 2 qualification or higher in Health & Social Care (for the higher rate of pay (£13.22 per hour).
