Head of People UK / HR Director UK
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded Head of People / HR Director to lead the UK People function for a dynamic, high-growth organisation. Sitting on the UK Senior Leadership Team, this is a high-impact position focused on developing a high-performing, values-driven culture and building a scalable, future-ready HR infrastructure.
This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery and is passionate about creating a modern People function that truly drives business success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Tactical Leadership
* Shape and deliver a UK People strategy aligned with wider Group and business objectives.
* Act as a strategic advisor to the UK senior leadership team on organisational design, workforce planning and leadership development.
* Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion across all levels.
Talent & Culture
* Lead initiatives across employee engagement, wellbeing and performance management.
* Support talent acquisition, retention and succession planning.
* Foster a values-led culture through collaborative and accessible leadership.
* Promote a commercial HR Business Partnering model across the business.
Operational Excellence
* Oversee HR operations including payroll, benefits, audits and employee relations.
* Ensure full compliance with UK employment law, GDPR, and applicable group policies.
* Implement and improve HRIS systems and people analytics capability.
* Drive efficiencies across HR processes and systems.
Change & Transformation
* Lead transformation projects including organisational change, restructures and digital HR initiatives.
* Align UK activities with global people projects and support internal communications strategies.
* Contribute to the design and delivery of the long-term people roadmap in collaboration with the Group People function.
* Develop and implement meaningful people metrics and insights to support business decision-making.
* Build and manage dashboards to track key HR and business KPIs.
About You
Experience & Skills
* Proven senior HR leadership experience (HR Director, Head of HR, or equivalent) within a scaling or complex organisation.
* Demonstrated experience building or enhancing a People function in a high-growth or transformation environment.
* Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and good understanding of international HR practices.
* Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
* Experienced in driving cultural change and embedding values across a business.
* Exceptional communicator and coach – able to influence, challenge and support senior stakeholders.
* Background in technology, SaaS, or similarly fast-paced sectors.
* Experience with HRIS implementation and HR data analysis.
* Commercially minded, outcome-focused and values-driven.
