Responsibilities
* Manage the design and optimisation of infusion manufacturing processes, including current state analysis and future roadmap development
* Define process requirements and specifications to support industrialisation and standardisation across manufacturing sites
* Drive process improvements to enhance Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) performance
* Apply structured problem-solving techniques such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEA to resolve production issues
* Use digital tools like digital twins and data analytics to enable data-driven decision-making and performance enhancement
* Implement continuous improvement methodologies including Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and Kaizen to reduce waste and boost efficiency
* Cultivate a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability within the engineering and production teams
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline
* Certified in Green Belt Six Sigma or advanced process analysis
* Around 10 years of experience in relevant engineering roles
* Skilled in defining process requirements and creating specifications
* Experienced in developing process flows and high-level data analysis
* Proven ability to drive optimisation and standardisation using Lean and Six Sigma
* Proficient in structured problem-solving and continuous improvement tools like FMEA, SPC, and Kaizen
Competencies
* Proficient blend of technical, analytical, and operational skills focused on composite materials and precision manufacturing
* Solid understanding of materials such as fiberglass, carbon fiber, and epoxy resins used in blade production
* Proficiency in process design and optimisation, particularly within blade infusion or general manufacturing
* Skilled in data-driven decision-making using digital twins and advanced analytics tools
* Highly motivated, factory-engaged, collaborative, and customer-focused with a commitment to learning and cross-functional teamwork

Primary work location: Newport, Isle of Wight, UK
Expected travel: up to 20 days per year
