HGV Technician
1. Salary: Circa £40,000 (depending on experience) Overtime paid at time and a half
2. Hours: Days, lates and nights available
Our client, a commercial main dealership, is looking for a qualified HGV Technician to join their team. This role involves servicing and repairing a variety of heavy goods vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring the highest quality of work. You will work both independently and within a team, making teamwork and efficiency essential.

Your Responsibilities as a HGV Technician
8. Conduct major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and other vehicles.
9. Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance (e.g., tyre rotation, oil changes).
10. Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
11. Collaborate with the repair team to diagnose issues and plan repairs.
12. Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
13. Provide emergency roadside repair services when required.
14. Complete all documentation and warranty claims efficiently.
15. Assist in training new recruits and apprentices.
What We’re Looking For
16. Minimum NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in HGV Maintenance.
17. Previous experience as a HGV Technician with a strong technical background.
18. Computer literacy and confidence using diagnostic tools and software.
