About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Sales Ledger Clerk to join a friendly and supportive finance team within a school environment near Halifax. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in finance or administration who enjoys working in a structured, community-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and update the sales ledger accurately and efficiently
* Process invoices and receipts in a timely manner
* Debt collection of school fees in the UK and overseas
* Debt collection for school trips and events
* Support the wider finance team with general administrative tasks
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in a finance or sales ledger role
* Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance software (e.g., SIMS, Sage, or similar)
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* A friendly, professional manner and a commitment to confidentiality
* Experience in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential
