Field Engineer
Northampton (Hybrid) | Up to £45,000 + Benefits
Join a leading IT services provider, delivering IT infrastructure, managed services, and support to a wide range of clients. In this role, you’ll provide 1st–3rd line technical support both remotely and on-site, ensuring incidents are resolved quickly and to high standards. You’ll act as a key contact for the service desk, collaborating with support teams, guiding junior engineers, and maintaining strong customer relationships. Alongside day-to-day support, you’ll assist with project delivery, installations, audits, and documentation, while keeping up to date with emerging technologies and identifying opportunities for service improvements.

What we’re looking for:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting servers, networks, PCs, printers, and applications (field-based preferred)
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft front/back-end technologies plus AV and backup platforms
* Experience with Citrix, VMware, and Cisco desirable
* Ability to configure, maintain, and support network and peripheral equipment (routers, switches, UPS, etc.)
* Industry certifications (MCP, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCA) highly desirable
* Excellent communication, organisation, and documentation skills
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
