With a formal Family Therapist qualification, you know one or two things about delivering great healthcare. From a friendly face to providing professional support, you will join Emerald Place, where you will feel valued and supported.
Working 37.5 hours a week, you will work alongside the dedicated team at Emerald Place, a specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder service for children and young people aged 8-18 years. You will be part of an environment that emphasizes teamwork and empowers recovery, with career opportunities to support your growth.
You will be responsible for delivering systemic family psychotherapy within the service, providing systemic assessments and interventions to young people admitted to the ward and their families or support systems. You will support staff development, participate in training, consultations, and staff support, and contribute systemic input into the multidisciplinary team.
You will receive regular clinical and professional supervision and be supported to develop your clinical and leadership skills as part of your career progression. You will join a proactive and enthusiastic Therapies Team and have access to a strong network of CAMHS psychological therapists across Elysium Healthcare. There are excellent professional development opportunities within the role.
You will have experience and knowledge in managing a service user's caseload, including assessing those with complex needs, supporting families and care plans, and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments within CAMHS Eating Disorder services.

As a Systematic Family Therapist, you will be:
* Providing highly-skilled systemic interventions for families of young people with severe, complex, and persistent mental health, learning difficulties, and developmental issues.
* Conducting in-depth risk assessments of young people at risk to themselves, and formulating short-term and long-term crisis plans.
* Applying evidence-based, formulation-driven systemic perspectives to multidisciplinary risk management, care planning, and decision-making.
* Managing a complex caseload within a multidisciplinary team and facilitating groups, such as carer support groups.
* Monitoring clinical progress through regular reviews of systemic treatment.
* Engaging with young people with diverse mental health needs and developmental difficulties, drawing on your theoretical and practical knowledge.
* Supporting staff development through training, consultation, formulation meetings, and reflective practice sessions.
* Contributing to service development within the Therapies Team and the wider service.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A Master’s or doctorate level Qualifying course in Systemic Psychotherapy, accredited by the AFT.
* Registration with UKCP.
* Experience working with adolescents and their families presenting with complex mental health needs, high-risk behaviors, and neurodevelopmental conditions in a CAMHS setting.
