The GBC provides colleagues from across the Aon network with access to specialist brokers and client managers, dedicated client solutions and thought leadership, and significant global insurance capacity.The GBC works with network colleagues to deliver market-leading solutions to Aon clients, creating a competitive advantage in our placement strategies worldwideWhat the day will look likeAs a Senior Broker some of your key responsibilities will involve:Core functional activity:Client relationship management (direct clients and/or network)Client meetingsLead quote brokingDay to day line management of team and allocation/ delegation of resources across portfolio of accountsSecondary functional activity:Providing benchmarking and placement advice to clientsEstablish and manage pipelineProduce and/or deliver tendersPresent terms to client / networkReview / Create / Enhance SubmissionReview draft / final MRCFirm Order broking (Ebix / wet stamps / email)Follow market brokingMarket relationship managementDefine marketing strategy (specific to placement)Record broking activity in market sheetsComplete quoteProvide invoicing instructionsProvide technical wording advice to client/networkProvide technical training / guidance to colleaguesCoaching and mentoringWork with CBO/ NR Leadership team on Insurer engagement strategy with InpointPerformance Manage direct reports setting clear objectivesManaging Team KPI’s in conjunction with BU KPI’s.Hold regular Team meetings following agreed NR Team agenda.Manage relationship with ARS with CBO/ NR Leadership team.Consider career opportunities for direct reports across all Upstream Broking disciplines .Coordinate workload within the team.Maintain market tender list and qualify core targets with a clear marketing strategy.Set clear market interaction objectives aligned with NR strategy.Develop strategy with CBO/ NR Leadership Team on AV and driving revenue growth.Deliver ACT interaction with CBO.Continue to develop Upstream SPS opportunities.Work with CBO / NR Leadership on offshore marketing strategy – ensuring consistency, connectivity, flexibility of resource and leverage across the product linesOccasional (optional) functional activity:File maintenance - ECMSend initial engagement to client/networkSend Cover confirmation to client/networkScan / index final agreed slipSPS design / placementIssue invoice to clientRespond to A/c queriesCreate BID documentation if requiredCreate bespoke wordings / clauses (per client)Develop best in class product wordings (for SPS/product etc)File Reviews / Technical Reviews / Peer ReviewsDevelop strategy & goalsSkills and experience that will lead to successAs a Senior Broker your skills and qualifications will ideally include:Excellent understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes;Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service;Experience of managing effective client relationships;Good analytical and problem-solving skills;Excellent interpersonal skills;High level of numeracy;Effective communication and presentation skills;Excellent understanding and application of compliance and FCA regulation;Ability to work well as part of a team;Demonstrate integrity and professionalismHow we support our colleaguesIn addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
