Role Purpose
The key purpose of the role is to maximise sales potential and business growth in your sales area. This is coupled with establishing trust and strong professional relationships with customers and providing a great customer experience.
* Experience as a laboratory technician in microbiology, molecular biology, biomedical science or similar scientific discipline.
* Self-motivated and ambitious.
* Reliable, organised, efficient and deadline orientated.
* Attention to detail and meticulous standards.
* Hands‑on approach and comfortable with daily travel.
* Clear, confident, adaptable communicator, in all forms.
* Inclusive, engaging manner, with a flair for building professional rapport with colleagues, stakeholders and customers / end user.
* Team orientated and supportive colleague.
* Independent and decisive, using creative thought and sound logic to identify, prioritise and maximise opportunities.
* Coachable and open to personal professional development.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Some mechanical/electrical ability.
Responsibilities
* To achieve the agreed sales target for the company’s financial year.
* To maintain and improve relationships and sales with existing customers.
* To prospect and sell to new customers within your sales area.
* Aftersales support such as training customers and installing equipment.
* Work with marketing to ensure the correct sales messages are delivered to customers.
* Attend sales meetings, equipped with pre-prepared information for your sales area.
* To relay the correct detailed information for the preparation of quotations.
* Upkeep of records for all your customer transactions.
* To assist with our export sales as required.
