Job Overview:
A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of AMP8 projects across Southern Water and Affinity Water frameworks. This is a long-term contract role, ideal for an engineer with a strong electrical background in water, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee electrical engineering aspects of clean and wastewater projects from design through to commissioning.
Review and interpret electrical designs, ensuring compliance with specifications and water industry standards.
Support the coordination between design, construction, and commissioning teams.
Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of electrical components and installations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on all electrical works.
Conduct site inspections and support commissioning and handover processes.
Requirements:
Previous experience as an Electrical Project Engineer within the water industry or similar infrastructure sector.
Strong understanding of LV electrical systems, MCCs, ICA, and pump station controls.
Qualified to a minimum of HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience with AMP frameworks - highly desirable.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations - desirable.
ECS or CSCS card - preferred.
Strong project coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
