The Opportunity
We are supporting a pioneering organisation that is building next-generation AI capabilities and looking for an experienced AI Technical Lead to drive the design, development and deployment of enterprise-scale AI solutions.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will shape technical strategy, influence architecture decisions and lead the delivery of cutting-edge AI products from concept through to production.
You will work closely with executive stakeholders, product teams, engineers and data specialists to build scalable, secure and responsible AI systems that create measurable business impact.
The successful candidate will combine strong software engineering foundations with deep expertise in machine learning, Generative AI, cloud technologies and modern AI infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading the technical direction of AI and Machine Learning initiatives across multiple business functions
* Designing, developing and deploying production-grade AI solutions
* Building and optimising Large Language Model (LLM) applications, RAG architectures and Agentic AI systems
* Developing speech-to-text, voice AI and accessibility-focused AI solutions
* Creating intelligent conversational experiences using modern AI frameworks
* Architecting scalable cloud-native AI platforms within AWS environments
* Building and maintaining robust MLOps pipelines and model governance frameworks
* Working closely with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
* Leading technical discovery workshops and AI strategy discussions
* Ensuring AI solutions are secure, compliant and aligned with responsible AI principles
* Mentoring AI Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists
* Driving engineering best practice including CI/CD, testing, monitoring and observability
Technical Experience RequiredArtificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
* Strong commercial experience designing, training, evaluating and deploying Machine Learning models
* Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models
* Building Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) platforms
* Agentic AI and autonomous workflow development
* NLP, speech recognition and conversational AI solutions
* Fine-tuning and optimisation of AI models
* Model evaluation, monitoring and governance

* Knowledge of Responsible AI frameworks
* Exposure to healthcare, fintech, retail or enterprise SaaS environments
* Experience building customer-facing AI products at scale
Education
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related discipline
* Equivalent commercial experience will also be considered
