Main Responsibilities
* Deliver personal care to patients and support registered practitioners to provide high-quality, compassionate care
* Carry out non-clinical healthcare tasks under the supervision of a registered practitioner
* Provide compassionate care to agreed quality standards and in line with Trust values
* Develop knowledge and skills; training provided to ensure core skills and area-specific requirements; support to obtain the care certificate if needed
Ideal Candidate
* Able to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills at interview
* Experience of providing care in a healthcare or social setting
* Ability to work as part of a team and manage time effectively
* Committed to a caring approach to patients and relatives
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Accurate documentation abilities
* Awareness of healthcare policies and procedures
* Willingness to undertake appropriate training within given timeframes
* Flexible and adaptable to change; able to work various shifts and move across wards/units as needed
* Calm, caring patient manner and attitude; enthusiasm for healthcare
* Willingness to work in other areas of the Trust as required
* Ability to meet physical demands of the role (standing, moving and handling patients/equipment)
