The Integrated Demand & Event Manager plays a pivotal role in connecting commercial initiatives, demand sensing, and operational planning to deliver a seamless and responsive supply chain. This role ensures that daily and event-driven demand signals are accurately reflected in forecasts, enabling the business to optimize service, minimize waste, and capitalize on growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
Daily Direction Setting (DSS) and Demand Governance
1. Coordinate and lead the daily DSS forums, ensuring visibility of key demand signals, service risks, and forecast changes.
2. Translate insights from DSS discussions into clear actions that align demand, supply, and commercial priorities.
3. Support short-term forecast management, balancing agility and accuracy in collaboration with the Customer Collaboration and Supply Planning teams.
Demand Sensing Operations & Roadmap
4. Own the execution and continuous improvement of Demand Sensing processes and tools, ensuring daily forecasts reflect the most up-to-date market intelligence, customer order patterns, and operational realities.
5. Partner with the Forecast & Innovation Lead to evolve the Demand Sensing roadmap, embedding automation, analytics, and best practices across categories.
6. Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, and forecast value add (FVA), driving corrective actions and sharing insights to improve performance.
End-to-End Event & Seasonal Planning
7. Lead the integrated planning of promotional and seasonal events, ensuring demand, supply, and commercial teams are aligned on volumes, timing, and executional priorities.
8. Facilitate demand review workshops to assess event performance and identify opportunities for future improvement.
9. Act as the key link between marketing activations, customer events, and supply chain readiness.
New Product Development (NPD) Setup & Maintenance
10. Manage the end-to-end setup and maintenance of new products within planning systems, ensuring master data accuracy, forecast readiness, and seamless integration into commercial and operational plans.
11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely readiness for launch and post-launch performance tracking.
Prolink System & Data Integrity
12. Serve as the UK Prolink Key User, driving system enhancements, maintaining master data quality, and promoting user adoption.
13. Partner with IT and the global Prolink community to influence future developments and ensure data governance standards are upheld.
Business Insight & Collaboration
14. Provide actionable insights on demand trends, promotional lift, and forecast performance to senior stakeholders.
15. Support the Forecast & Innovation Lead in tracking national forecast performance versus actuals and driving continuous improvement in Lag 3 and live forecasts.
16. Partner with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to enable data-led decisions that drive profitable growth.
Qualifications
Must-haves:
17. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
18. Proven ability to manage integrated demand planning processes, including promotions, events, and NPD launches.
19. Hands-on experience with forecasting and planning systems such as Prolink, APO, JDA, or similar.
20. Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and generate actionable insights.
21. Advanced Excel proficiency and working knowledge of SAP.
22. Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across Commercial, Supply, and Finance.
23. Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
24. Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
25. Professional certifications such as APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or Six Sigma.
26. Postgraduate qualification (, MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain or Business Analytics).
27. Experience working within Integrated Business Planning (IBP) frameworks or platforms such as o9.
28. Experience with Prolink data quality and master data compliance improvement initiatives.
Key Metrics
29. Forecast Accuracy (Statistical + Enriched) and Bias improvement YoY.
30. Service to Customer – maintaining or exceeding target.
31. Delivery of Demand Sensing Strategic Roadmap milestones.
32. Successful end-to-end coordination of promotional and seasonal planning.
33. Prolink Data Quality and Master Data compliance.
34. Continuous improvement actions identified and implemented (“Lift & Shift” of best practices).
