Specialist weight management dietitian 30 hours per week (flexible working considered) Band 6 fixed term 12 months to cover maternity leave.
Do you have a passion for working in weight management? Do you want to join a high-quality, established team providing a Tier 3 weight management service in Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust? The service is fully integrated with our bariatric service, and we work as a multidisciplinary team.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialist dietitian to join our team with two other dietitians and a part-time psychologist in the Tier 3 service. The post is based at Worcester Royal Hospital and includes clinics at Kidderminster, Redditch, and Bromsgrove.
Some clinics will be virtual. We are a forward-thinking and proactive Dietetic department of 22 dietitians working within specialty teams.

Main duties of the job
1. To work as a specialist dietitian in the department within the Weight management service with a special interest in Tier 3 weight management.
2. Work as part of the multidisciplinary medical and bariatric teams providing an effective specialist weight management service.
3. To provide cover for outpatient clinics/groups during times of leave.
4. To assist with data collection and audit.
Job summary
1. Working as an experienced autonomous practitioner, to provide a high standard of patient-focused care through specialised assessment.
2. To plan and deliver a high-quality service to patients working in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.
3. To offer dietetic skills and expertise to complex patients.
4. To contribute to the Therapy Clinical Governance agenda to further improve the quality of the service.
