Castle Primary School employs in-house catering staff. You will be joining a happy and efficient team, and working in a high quality, well equipped kitchen. We pride ourselves on offering restaurant quality meals for our pupils and staff. We are ideally looking for an experienced catering assistant, but training and support will be provided.
The job will involve all aspects of food preparation and clearing away, stacking the dishwasher etc, under the instruction of the Kitchen Manager. There is scope for enhanced pay for the right candidate who has the skills and knowledge to cover for the Kitchen Manager when required.
The basic hours are 18 hours per week, Monday to Friday covering the busy lunchtime period. Additional hours may be offered to cover busy periods, for instance Christmas lunch.

You will be required to hold the Level 2 food hygiene certificate, but if you don't already have this, the school will provide and pay for the training.
