The Role • To provide comprehensive Administrative and Clerical support to the sustainability and environmental performance team. The post holder will be trained to deliver the following: Analysis of utility data to identify trends Assisting in the creation of business cases and/or project plans for sustainability projects Analysis of waste data It is expected the student will help facilitate meetings, inspections and general project support and monitoring, as source segregation is launched site to site. Update and maintain communication awareness via intranet and internet pages, as well as social media updates. The student will help drive environmental awareness within the organisation by working with comms and reviewing and updating current practices. Work with multiple departments to identify where support may be required in relation to sustainability Help to implement new HFS Sustainability Tool reporting on UN Development Goals and Sustainability Campaign. What we'll need you to bring You will be working towards/completed a relevant first degree (or equivalent) in environmental management science or sustainability. Student membership of relevant professional body (CIWEM, IEMA). You will be self-motivated, organised, and thorough and be able to demonstrate application of initiative to deliver a task or project to high standards. Insight, knowledge, understanding and awareness of environmental management, waste management and related issues. General work experience that shows an ability to work independently, as part of a team, and with a diverse range of stakeholders. High degree of organisational ability and interpersonal skills. Good written and oral communication skills, i.e., dealing with enquiries in a professional and courteous way. High degree of assertiveness, resourcefulness, and initiative Use of Microsoft using Microsoft office systems and similar applications Flexible attitude to work in general.
