Student Support Worker

Overview
This role supports pupils’ motivation, attendance, engagement and character for learning through restorative and relational approaches. The successful candidate will partner with staff, families and external services to secure outcomes for all learners.
Responsibilities
* Challenge and support pupils to improve motivation, attendance, engagement and character for learning.
* Develop and implement restorative and relational approaches to inclusion.
* Support progress and liaise with families and other services to secure attendance and engagement.
* Share best practice with colleagues to enhance student support strategies.
Qualifications
* Maths and English GCSE, grade C or above.
* Strong IT skills.
* Well‑developed organisational and communication skills.
* Basic understanding of child development and learning strategies.
Experience Required
* Successful experience supporting student engagement, including working with the full range of students, especially the most vulnerable.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to positively influence students.
* Experience liaising with colleagues, parents/carers and partner organisations.
