Optometrist - Domiciliary Role
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Optometrist to provide high-quality domiciliary eye care services. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives by delivering professional, compassionate care directly in their homes. You will have the autonomy to manage your clinics while being fully supported by a structured and well-organised team.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive eye examinations in a domiciliary setting
* Provide expert clinical advice and recommend appropriate optical solutions
* Build strong relationships with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
* Ensure all clinical work is carried out in line with GOC guidelines and professional standards
* Support with referrals and follow-up care where required
Team Development
* Work collaboratively with a wider clinical and operational team
* Participate in ongoing training and development, including domiciliary-specific CPD
* Share knowledge and best practices to support continuous improvement
About You
* GOC registered Optometrist
* Strong clinical and communication skills
* A patient-first approach with a passion for delivering exceptional care
* Ability to work independently while remaining part of a wider team
* Full UK driving licence (required for domiciliary work)
