Responsibilities:
1. Support the management team in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and learning are maintained.
2. Act as a role model for the team, delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that inspire curiosity and growth in line with the EYFS framework.
3. Assist in leading the team to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that fosters positive relationships and builds children's confidence.
4. Monitor and support children's development, maintaining accurate records and adapting care and activities to meet individual needs.
5. Oversee the smooth running of your allocated room and step in as needed to ensure continuity and high-quality care.
6. Embrace the nursery's focus on outdoor learning, promoting exploration and active play in the thoughtfully designed outdoor space.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
2. Proven experience in a senior or leadership role within a nursery or early years setting.
3. Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and a passion for high-quality, child-centred care.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
5. A proactive, enthusiastic, and nurturing approach to leadership and childcare.
6. Confidence in supporting and mentoring team members to promote best practices.
Salary: Up to £31,500
Position: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
