About us This is a new post within the Public Protection and Prevention section which covers all aspects of environmental health (food safety, health & safety, pollution control and housing standards) as well as trading standards, licensing and other enforcement functions. The role This particular role involves 4 years on the job training with qualified environmental health officers and others within the wider team as well as academic study at Leeds Beckett University on a part time basis over 4 years. At the end of the 4 years the successful applicant will obtain a degree in Environmental Health and have the practical skills to be able to work as a qualified Environmental Health Officer at Warrington BC. The fees for the course will be covered by the apprentice levy and a generous salary will be provided throughout the 4 years training / academic study, meaning that no student loan will be necessary to obtain the qualification and there will be a job at the end of the training. Hours of work will be 37 per week divided between academic study and on the job training. What's needed? You will need to have passed your maths, science and english language GCSEs and have, or be predicted to achieve, 3 A levels at grade C or above providing 112 UCAS points.
