1. •Registered Professional Nurse / Social Worker / Allied Health Professional or Paramedic with experience of working within safeguarding.
2. •Evidence of ongoing professional development
3. Training in relation to safeguarding

4. Post Graduate Qualifications
5. Safeguarding Adults formal qualification of recognised related training

6. Demonstrate Experience of having supported the safeguarding process
7. Knowledge of DOLS/Mental Capacity Act (2005)
8. Knowledge of Safeguarding Legislation (Care Act 2014)
9. Experience in working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies with complex issues and in complex situations
10. Proven verbal and written communication skills
Desirable criteria
11. Experience of working in an acute hospital setting
12. Knowledge of the wider health and social care community
13. Knowledge of Domestic Abuse legislation and working with survivors of domestic abuse
14. Good working knowledge that applies to all healthcare workers such as nursing, health and social care
