Overview
We are looking for a Potting & Encapsulation Technician to join our team on a 12‑month PAYE contract, with strong potential for extension through to December 2026. This role supports the secure protection of electronic components through the preparation, application, and inspection of potting and encapsulation materials.
We welcome applications from experienced candidates as well as junior individuals who are keen to learn. For the right person with good practical ability and a willingness to develop, full training will be provided.
You'll also be joining at an exciting time as the business moves into a brand-new, purpose-built facility-offering excellent long-term development opportunities and involvement in advanced aerospace projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and mix potting and encapsulation compounds to required standards
Manually pour or inject materials around electronic parts or into moulds
Monitor and manage curing processes under controlled conditions
Inspect finished parts for air bubbles, voids, or defects
Work safely with potentially hazardous materials and protect sensitive electronics
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience is beneficial but not essential - training can be provided.
Familiarity with resins, silicones, or epoxy materials
Basic understanding of electronic components
Experience with dispensing equipment or curing ovens
Strong attention to detail and quality focus
Ability to identify imperfections during visual inspection
What We Offer
33 days' paid holiday, or an uplifted hourly rate including holiday pay

PAYE Rates
£18.13/hr PAYE (or £20.77/hr including holiday)
After 12 weeks: £18.68/hr (or £21.40/hr including holiday)
Overtime
1.5x after 37 hours and on Saturdays
2x on Sundays and bank holidays
Working Hours (37 hrs/week)
Mon-Thurs: 7:30am - 4:15pm
Fri: 7:30am - 11:30am
