We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Administration Assistant to join our team in the Warwick Emergency Department.
Role Overview
As an ED administrator, you will be the first point of contact for patients, handling bookings, queries, and issues. You will interact with ambulance crews, upload notes, and collect data for audits. The role involves computer work such as obtaining, scanning, and filing patient notes, discharging patients, booking appointments, and coding clinical notes.
You will work alongside the Nurse in Charge to coordinate patient flow, ensuring timely admissions and discharges, while maintaining Trust values. Additional duties include managing telephone enquiries, supporting clinicians, nurses, and managers, and providing office-based support.
Training and Working Pattern
We offer a comprehensive induction and ongoing development through annual appraisals. The role includes shift work, covering long days, twilight, night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
Departmental Support
The post involves providing administrative and clerical support to the Emergency Department of South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT). This includes real-time computer entries for admissions, discharges, transfers, clinical coding, and ambulance services. Flexibility to cover reception, ward clerk, and clinical coding duties is required, with possible cross-site working.
