Robert Half is partnering with a large manufacturing business in Birmingham to recruit an Interim Senior Tax Manager.
This is a senior interim role supporting a complex finance function with responsibility for tax compliance, reporting and advisory work across the business. The company is looking for someone technically strong, commercially minded and confident operating in a large, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Role
As Interim Senior Tax Manager, you will take ownership of key tax matters across the business, working closely with finance leadership, group tax and external advisers.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing corporate tax compliance and reporting requirements
* Supporting tax accounting, provisions and year-end reporting
* Reviewing VAT, indirect tax and other tax compliance matters
* Providing advice to finance, commercial and operational teams on tax-related issues
* Supporting transfer pricing, intercompany transactions and group reporting requirements
* Working with external advisers and auditors
* Identifying tax risks and supporting improvements to controls and processes
* Supporting ad hoc projects across the finance and tax function
What We’re Looking For
* Experienced tax professional, ideally CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent
* Strong corporate tax experience gained in-house or within practice
* Experience working with large, complex businesses
* Manufacturing, engineering or industrial sector experience would be beneficial
* Confident managing tax compliance, reporting and advisory matters
* Strong stakeholder management skills
* Comfortable working at pace and managing multiple priorities
* Hands-on, pragmatic and able to add value quickly
