About The Role
Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick is recruiting on behalf of The MEH Alliance to support the delivery of the Hinkley Point C project, one of the UK’s largest and most complex infrastructure programmes. This role is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the successful coordination and delivery of multi‑discipline construction works within a designated building area. The Building Lead will play a pivotal role in driving safe, efficient and high‑quality installation delivery.
Location: Hinkley Point C (Site-based, 5 days per week).
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the building is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
* Lead multi‑disciplinary construction teams to deliver safe, high‑quality installation works.
* Support the Area Lead with day‑to‑day planning, engineering and works progression.
* Manage interfaces across contractors, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery.
* Coordinate construction activities across Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC disciplines.
* Ensure materials, access and resources are available to meet the construction schedule.
* Monitor progress, productivity and performance, reporting to the Area Lead.
* Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety and nuclear safety culture.
* Manage construction documentation, change control and compliance with project requirements.
Qualifications
* Proven experience delivering large‑scale construction or engineering projects at a senior level.
* Strong leadership capability with experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Background in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC or similar engineering disciplines.
* Degree, HNC or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline (or extensive site management experience).
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Experience within nuclear, heavy industry or joint venture environments is advantageous.
* Able to obtain a security clearance.
