Are you an experienced warehouse operative with a valid counterbalance forklift licence, looking for a leadership role in a fast-paced evening operation?
If so, our client is currently recruiting for a hands-on Evening Warehouse Team Leader to join a dynamic logistics team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys leading from the front, and enjoys taking ownership within busy environments
Location: Aylesbury
Hours: 12:00pm - 9:00pm
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Licence Required: Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a counterbalance forklift to unload and load delivery vehicles and night trunk trailers.
Lead and organise the evening warehouse operation, ensuring smooth work flow and safety compliance.
Use the online TMS system to input and edit key freight data, including discrepancies.
Sort freight into designated areas, wrap pallets, and label customer shipments.
Direct drivers on-site and manage parking and unloading procedures.
Load vans and trucks according to planner instructions for next-day deliveries.
Handle paperwork discrepancies and adapt plans as needed (e.g., due to weather).
Conduct evening and end-of-day checks, including alarm and key holder duties.
Collaborate with night drivers to maintain high standards and safety protocols.
What We're Looking For:
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure
Comfortable using digital systems
Reliable, safety-conscious, and proactive
