SEN Primary Teaching Assistant – Wembley (ASAP Start)
We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming primary school in Wembley. This is a term-time only role with an immediate start, ideal for someone with previous school-based experience who is confident supporting pupils with additional needs.
Role Details
* Role: Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
* Location: Wembley
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
* Pay: £13 – £17 per hour (depending on experience)
* Start Date: ASAP
* Contract: School term time only
Key Responsibilities
* Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
* Supporting children with ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, and learning difficulties
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
* Adapting learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
* Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
* Helping pupils to engage, build confidence, and access the curriculum
* Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Supporting pupils during transitions, break times, and daily routines
Requirements
* Previous school-based experience (primary or SEN setting essential)
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
* Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
* A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
