🌟 The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth and cross-selling within a portfolio of high-value, enterprise-level customers, alongside winning new logo opportunities for a UK-based people and payroll software provider.
This is a remote role, combining virtual meetings via Microsoft Teams with regular face-to-face engagement with customers across the UK. You'll work with complex, multi-site organisations, helping them evolve and expand how they use HR, payroll, and workforce software to support their people strategy at scale.
The role suits a commercially strong sales professional who enjoys autonomy and is comfortable balancing remote working with in-person relationship building at enterprise level.
🗺️ Your Territory
This is a national role, managing a portfolio of strategic enterprise customers across sectors including:
* Industrial and operational organisations
* Professional and corporate services
* Not-for-profit and public-facing organisations
* Hospitality, retail, and technology
💼 What You'll Do
* Drive revenue growth through new business acquisition and cross-selling within a high-value enterprise customer portfolio
* Manage and develop customer relationships through a mix of Teams-based meetings and face-to-face visits
* Build and execute strategic account plans to maximise long-term value
* Identify and close expansion opportunities across multi-product software solutions
* Conduct virtual and in-person solution demonstrations
* Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, particularly HR leaders, alongside Finance, IT, and Operations
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver complex, tailored software solutions
* Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity creation through to close
💪 What You'll Bring
* Strong background in B2B software or SaaS sales within a field-based or hybrid role
* Proven experience selling into enterprise HR decision-makers such as HR Directors, Heads of People, or Chief People Officers
* Demonstrated success growing high-value customer accounts and delivering new revenue
* Experience selling complex, multi-module or platform-based software solutions
* Confidence operating within longer, consultative enterprise sales cycles
* Excellent commercial judgement, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
* Comfortable working remotely while managing a national customer base
* Full UK driving licence
