A leading Management Consultancy seeking exceptional candidates for a Director role, focusing on the Consumer, Retail & Leisure industry. Key areas include Deal Strategy, Growth Strategy, Cost and Operational Strategy (including Economic Profitability Analysis), and Enterprise-wide Transformation.
Job Description
The Strategy & Performance Transformation division supports industry leaders. As a Senior Leader, you will be expected to:
* Leverage existing client relationships, especially with the UK/European Private Equity and M&A community, to generate project opportunities. Extensive experience in M&A-related projects such as Commercial Due Diligence, M&A Strategy, and Value Creation is critical.
* Anticipate, understand, and articulate client requirements during projects.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in various formats and situations.
* Design and manage large, complex projects, acting as the primary client liaison and representing the firm.
* Guide the team to deliver client-ready outputs that exceed expectations with minimal review.
* Identify go-to-market, thought-leadership, and marketing opportunities and lead efforts to pursue them.
The Successful Applicant
Candidates should have relevant experience in the Consumer, Retail, and Leisure sectors, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams. Key requirements include:
* Experience in leading strategy consulting projects within a Big 4 or similar firm, or in industry within Strategy or Corporate Development roles.
* Strong understanding of value drivers across Consumer Goods, Retail, Travel, and Leisure sectors, and insights into their future evolution.
* Experience managing mid-sized and large projects, including planning, team management, and delivering high-quality client outcomes.
* Extensive coverage of recent M&A transactions such as CDD, VDD, and Value Creation projects in the Consumer sector.
* Ability to generate sales opportunities independently and maintain strong client relationships.
* Initiate and lead marketing and sales efforts, including proposals, scoping, and pricing.
* Drive new business initiatives from conception through execution.
* Right to work in the UK is required; client is not sponsoring visas at this stage.
