Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – St Albans

Full-Time | September 2025 Start | Up to £600 per week

A welcoming and well-established SEN school in St Albans is looking to appoint a motivated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant from September 2025. With an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’, this school provides a supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve both academically and personally. This position is ideal for graduates who are considering future careers in education, psychology, therapy, or support work.

The Job! - Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

* Work closely with pupils aged 6–16 with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), and moderate learning difficulties
* Deliver personalised academic and emotional support in 1:1 and small group sessions
* Encourage student participation, boost confidence, and promote independence
* Assist teachers in creating an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning space

About you - Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

* A degree at 2:2 or above (Psychology, Education, or related disciplines advantageous)
* Calm, adaptable, and resilient when faced with challenges
* Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
* Experience in SEN support, mentoring, or youth work is desirable but not essential
* Right to work in the UK (unfortunately, sponsorship is not available)
